Formed in 2013 by former Special Needs frontman Zachery Stephenson, Londonbased songwriter Andy Potter, Irish chanteuse Amy Fox and Italian bassist Dade Ragazzo, French singer-songwriter Elian Dalmasso and Portuguese drummer Nelson Costa, who were all frustrated at banging their heads against walls at open mics.
As a result, this group has the luxury of being able to call
on four talented songwriters, meaning quality control is at
a premium.
No one person is burdened with the responsibility of writing fillers. In fact, deciding which songs to omit was the most heart-breaking aspect of the recording process.
With five lead singers, five nationalities and an infinite amount of songs Arms are not restricted by the
conventional boundaries that most bands face.
The band's style hints at The Strokes and Arcade Fire but incorporates wider influences.
